~IN~

So in love with you ...

so in the knowing of love ...

so comfortable in our love ...

so right in our love ...

so in ...

I have a friend,
so dear to me,
so honest and so true,

unconditionally she gives to me,
the love within her heart,

no condtions does she ever ask,
no preset notions that I can see,

A true friendship is all I get,
Wend ... you mean the world to me .

~Had We Not Met~

Had we not met ...
The world would not make sense
Had we not met ...
Our Love would go unfelt
Had we not meld ...
Two lives would just that be
Had we not meld ...
seperate beings trying to be

And so the one who we are now ...
is the one for eternity

As word warriors in life ... we are co-mingling our minds,
melding into one being, the feelings become thoughts,
the thoughts become words .... thusly...
our very first poem written together: Nan & Anibal

Everybody knows if you are too careful you are so occupied in being careful that you are sure to stumble over something.

The populace is like the sea motionless in itself,
but stirred by every wind,
even the lightest breeze.
~Titus Livius~
~Roman author & historian (59 BC - 17 AD)~

We spend most of our time and energy
in a kind of horizontal thinking.
We move along the surface of things...
[but] there are times when we stop.
We sit sill.
We lose ourselves in a pile of leaves
or its memory.
We listen and breezes
from a whole other world begin to whisper.
~James Carroll, O Magazine, October 2002~

For the most part,
fear is nothing but an illusion.
When you share it with someone else,
it tends to disappear.
~Marilyn C. Barrick~

There are two tragedies in life.
One is not to get your heart's desire.
The other is to get it.

It's choice - not chance - that determines your destiny.

~♥~Home Is Where the Heart Is .. and My Love, That's You~♥~

~The place where one originates from
speaks volumes of one's soul ...

To abide in the depth of such history,
the realm of such beauty and of grace,
tells of how one can be the inhabitant
of such a place without dwelling therein.

How some can live within the midst
of such glory and magnificence...
and yet be oblivious of it's wonders,
speaks of their souls.

Live in the place where your soul dwells...
drink in all that surrounds you

see through the eyes of others,
so fresh, so new ....
gather in from all that is around you,
fill your soul ...

Live in the knowing
that you take with you,
wherever you may go,
all you've seen ...
and all you've felt ...
of the humble beginnings
of what we call home.

For it is always a part of you,
and all you will ever be,

for home is wherein .....
wherever .....
the heart lies,
and for my love, it's me.

Pictures are from my love, Anibal, taken from his humble beginnings
that was once his home... Porto, Portugal

Be thou my love,
I will drink from you,
all the love you have ...
and give to you ...
all of mine.

~Waiting~

Serene, I fold my hands and wait,
Nor care for wind, nor tide, nor sea;
I rave no more 'gainst time or fate,
For lo! my own shall come to me.

I stay my haste, I make delays,
For what avails this eager pace?
I stand amid the eternal ways,
And what is mine shall know my face.

Asleep, awake, by night or day,
The friends I seek are seeking me;
No wind can drive my bark astray,
Nor change the tide of destiny.

What matter if I stand alone?
I wait with joy the coming years;
My heart shall reap where it hath sown,
And garner up its fruit of tears.

The waters know their own and draw
The brook that springs in yonder height;
So flows the good with equal law
Unto the soul of pure delight.

The stars come nightly to the sky;
The tidal wave unto the sea;
Nor time, nor space, nor deep, nor high,
Can keep my own away from me.
